Role Overview

This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting the delivery of fit out and finishes packages on construction projects. The role requires strong site coordination capability, technical knowledge of finishes trades, and the ability to work closely with project, site, subcontractor, and consultant teams.

What We’re Looking For

• A tertiary or certificate-level qualification in construction or a related discipline, or at least 5 years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience delivering fit out and finishes packages on commercial or residential projects valued at $10M or more
• A sound understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and finishes-related scope requirements
• Technical familiarity with fit out systems and materials such as flooring, joinery, cladding, and ceiling systems
• Demonstrated experience coordinating subcontractors and day-to-day site activities
• Strong awareness of safety, quality control, and compliance requirements in construction settings
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills, with careful attention to detail
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work across internal teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders

Key Duties

• Assist the Project Manager and Senior Site Manager with planning, scheduling, and coordinating site works
• Track progress of fit out and finishes activities against the programme and help resolve delays or issues
• Keep accurate records covering materials, subcontractor work, inspections, and completed tasks
• Review drawings, specifications, and material schedules to confirm they match project scope
• Monitor and report scope changes or variations to the Project Manager
• Coordinate subcontractors across fit out and finishes trades to support timely delivery and installation
• Participate in site meetings and inspections involving joinery, flooring, finishes, and related works
• Ensure subcontractors meet the project’s safety, quality, and programme expectations
• Inspect work for compliance with specifications, design intent, and quality benchmarks
• Identify and follow up defects across fit out elements such as flooring, cabinetry, and finishes
• Ensure all work complies with building codes, project requirements, and DCOH safety systems
• Carry out safety inspections and audits, including checks against SWMS and safe work practices
• Maintain site records such as checklists, coordination logs, and quality documentation
• Work with consultants, designers, and subcontractors to resolve design and access matters
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Contribute to a cooperative team culture and represent DCOH professionally at all times
