How Your Accounting and Finance Background Translates to a Special Agent Career
Your existing foundation in accounting and finance, including skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and risk management, is highly valued. Your ability to interpret information, connect details, and understand complex situations, potentially including experience with R, Tableau, and financial accounting, will be directly applicable. Major Duties
- Plan and execute investigations into potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity threats, and public safety concerns.
- Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and adaptability to meet diverse investigative demands.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with various law enforcement agencies at federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
- Maintain a high level of physical fitness to ensure readiness for law enforcement duties.
Key Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
- Must be willing to travel as needed.
- Must meet all FBI Employment Eligibility requirements.
Education
Candidates are required to possess a bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university. A degree in accounting or a related field such as business administration, finance, or forensic accounting is preferred. All degrees must be verified by submitting official college transcripts.
