Advance Auto Parts is hiring a positive, customer-focused Store Driver in Cornwall, Ontario. What you will do
- Collect, organize, and safely deliver parts to professional customers.
- Retrieve returned items and cores from customers.
- Distribute sales flyers on a weekly and monthly basis while promoting active deals and loyalty initiatives.
- Handle daily collection efforts for credit accounts.
- Support strong relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers and share delivery-related insights with the CPP.
- Help increase basket size by recommending add-on and complementary products.
- Keep the store clean and presentable, including floors, restrooms, facing, dusting, and the parking area.
- Assist with general stocking work such as truck unloading, back stock organization, and cycle counts.
- Stay current on inventory and new product arrivals to support sales efforts.
- Assist walk-in customers by understanding their needs and suggesting suitable parts or services.
- Take on additional duties as needed.

Skills and working style

You should also be comfortable working various days, evenings, and weekends, and be confident engaging customers while learning new products and selling techniques.
Experience, education, and licensing
Experience with automotive parts is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. You must also hold a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Physical requirements and work environment
The job is mostly performed while standing or walking. You must be able to speak and hear, use your hands and fingers, reach, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The role involves frequently lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work is usually indoors, but some outside exposure is expected, including weather conditions during tasks such as installing batteries and wiper blades. You may also encounter moving mechanical parts, heights, chemicals, electrical shock risk, explosives, and vibration. Noise levels are generally moderate.
Compensation and benefits
The expected hourly pay range for a new team member is CAD 17.60 to CAD 18.85. The actual offer depends on factors such as location, retail experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership background, other relevant skills, and any shift differential that may apply.
