Technology Associate - Relocation to Dubai

Job overview

This is an entry-level technology development role for a recent graduate who wants to build a career in aviation technology. As a Technology Associate in Emirates Group IT, you will join a structured one-year development programme and gain practical exposure across areas such as AI, cloud, cybersecurity, and software engineering.

The position supports the creation, enhancement, deployment, and upkeep of technology products and solutions that help drive Emirates Group operations.

What you will do

• Carry out assigned technical work with a focus on building scalable and durable solutions using established engineering and technology practices.
• Review business and system needs and support the technical design phase, helping shape solutions that match agreed standards.
• Build, configure, test, and roll out technology solutions as part of a team while meeting functional and technical expectations.
• Investigate system or application problems, identify root causes, and apply standard escalation processes when issues need to be handed over to the right internal teams.
• Work with cross-functional colleagues to spot inefficiencies and suggest practical improvements while following Emirates Group IT standards, policies, and best practices.
• Assist with unit testing, validation, and quality assurance tasks under the guidance of senior team members.
• Help keep Technology Playbooks, standards documents, and other governance materials up to date.

Eligibility and qualifications

To be considered, you should meet the following criteria:

• A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or another technology-related discipline.
• A CGPA of 3.0 or above, or an equivalent academic result.
• At least 1 year of exposure to current technologies through coursework or internships in a technology-related area.

This role is intended as an entry route for university graduates in a technology-related subject.

• Basic understanding of delivery approaches such as Agile and DevOps.

• Exposure to at least one modern technology area such as application development, cloud, enterprise platforms, integration, data, digital, or security.

Additional information

The role includes relocation from Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand to Dubai, and the successful candidate will work onsite at the Dubai headquarters.
