The position is based at Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Matford Green in the Greater Exeter Area.

Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Matford Green is a purpose-built facility located at Matford Green Business Park, offering easy access to transport links and on-site parking. The nursery follows a blended curriculum inspired by Reggio Emilia and Hygge philosophies, emphasizing creativity, exploration, and emotional well-being. It features five age-specific playrooms, a sensory room, a library, and an extensive outdoor garden. The nursery is rated "Good" by Ofsted and provides a nurturing, home-from-home environment. The experienced team is passionate about early years education, with many staff holding high qualifications and providing continuity of care. Dedicated SENCo support is available. Children engage in a variety of enriching activities such as Boogie Mites, Sing and Sign, yoga, Make and Bake, Sow and Grow, and Move and Groove. Regular community outings, including nature walks, are also part of the curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Uphold high standards of quality within the nursery environment.
• Provide support and supervision to playroom staff in their daily tasks.
• Effectively deploy staff to ensure required standards are met and maintained in all rooms.
• Oversee the implementation of nursery keycarer procedures and assign children to keycarers.
• Ensure nursery practices and provisions comply with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements.
• Deliver professional and relevant feedback to parents and carers regarding their child's progress.
• Promote the nursery positively to current parents and prospective families.
• Cultivate open and positive working relationships with all staff members.
• Ensure all staff maintain friendly and professional interactions with parents and carers.

Requirements

• A caring and enthusiastic approach to childcare.
• Ability to support and supervise staff effectively.
• Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Commitment to promoting high standards in early years education.
• An enhanced DBS check is mandatory for this role.
