About the role

As a UI Designer, you will be the main steward of Holafly’s Design System and a specialist focused on delivering consistent, high-quality user interfaces. The role supports Product Designers and Developers by providing accurate UI components, clear specifications, and strong visual execution that helps teams build products efficiently.

Key responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the Design System by setting processes, documenting components, and maintaining consistency across digital products.
  • Act as the main UI partner for Product Designers by producing assets and specifications quickly and accurately.
  • Create polished interactions, animations, and transitions that support product objectives and follow current best practices.
  • Use AI-based tools to improve Design System documentation and streamline operational tasks.
  • Perform visual quality checks to confirm pixel-accurate implementation across product interfaces.
  • Guide junior designers and lead improvements that strengthen UI processes and collaboration.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in UI Design, Visual Design, or UX/UI roles.
  • Advanced Figma expertise, including variables, components, design tokens, auto-layout, and prototyping.
  • Hands-on experience managing or owning a Design System.
  • Strong knowledge of interaction design, accessibility standards such as WCAG, and responsive design.
  • Ability to communicate and defend design decisions in both English and Spanish.

Good to have

  • Experience using AI tools for design documentation or workflow support.
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML and CSS.
  • Familiarity with tools like Maze, Miro, or Hotjar.
