Walsh Waste & Recycling is looking for an experienced articulated truck driver to join its team at Deerpark Industrial Estate in Oranmore, County Galway. The role is central to moving waste and recyclable materials safely between transfer stations, treatment facilities, and landfill locations while ensuring every journey meets operational and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Drive articulated vehicles to move bulk waste and recyclable loads.
• Follow all rules and procedures related to waste collection, transport, and handling.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and raise any defects or issues promptly.
• Keep transport records, delivery paperwork, and logs accurate and up to date.
• Work closely with site teams and dispatch staff to support efficient route planning.
• Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements at all times.

Requirements

• Current CE (Class 1) licence, together with CPC and Digi Card.
• At least 2 years of experience operating articulated vehicles.
• Previous exposure to the waste or haulage sector is an advantage.
• Solid knowledge of transport rules and safe loading methods.
• A dependable, punctual, and safety-focused approach to work.
• Availability for early starts, occasional weekend work, and shift-based schedules.
