About Wonderbly
Wonderbly creates personalised books designed to spark confidence in children and to celebrate every kind of love. The company’s stories have reached more than 10 million readers, and its work sits at the intersection of print-on-demand, personalisation, and direct-to-consumer e-commerce. As an award-winning business within the Penguin Random House group, it serves customers worldwide from a Bloomsbury, London base, with a compact team of creatives, technologists, and storytellers.
The environment blends ambitious goals with the pace and flexibility of a small company. Working arrangements include flexible office hours, hybrid working, up to five weeks of remote working each year, private healthcare, a personal training and development allowance, a dog-friendly studio, and regular team lunches and socials.
The role
As Digital Content & Optimisation Executive, you will be part of the Keepsake squad, which focuses on baby, family, and adult gifting titles. Your work will help ensure that the wonderbly.com experience matches the quality of the books themselves by making pages more engaging, informative, and effective at converting visitors into customers.
This is a hands-on role that combines content management with optimisation and analysis. You will shape page journeys, run and assess A/B tests, review analytics to understand user behaviour, and bring forward ideas for further improvements. Because the team is small, the position offers meaningful ownership and direct involvement in decision-making.
Key responsibilities
You will manage both new launches and ongoing optimisation across the Keepsake range, ensuring pages are accurate, commercially strong, and ready for trading moments throughout the year.
- Set up product pages and customer journeys for new Keepsake releases, including pricing, search attribution, categories, and filters.
- Own the content on Keepsake product pages, range pages, and landing pages, keeping it relevant and commercially effective.
- Maintain accurate product information across Contentsquare, Algolia, and related systems.
- Create, quality-check, and test variants in Optimizely and Prismic, while contributing ideas for A/B testing.
- Work with analysts to interpret experiment outcomes and turn the findings into clear actions for the squad.
- Support the rollout and scaling of successful tests across the Keepsake collection.
- Use Looker, Contentsquare, and GA4 to track how visitors move through pages and where drop-off happens.
- Identify performance issues and recommend changes supported by evidence.
- Build and update lightweight dashboards for weekly team discussions.
- Prepare and publish seasonal campaign content, including page and message updates for major trading periods such as Christmas, Mother's Day, and other gifting peaks.
- Coordinate with the Trade team on promotions and Last Order Dates.
Requirements
You should be naturally interested in understanding what drives online purchasing decisions and should be comfortable using data to guide your choices.
- Previous ecommerce experience, ideally within a direct-to-consumer environment, with exposure to ecommerce platforms.
- Experience working with a CMS such as Prismic, Contentful, Shopify, or an equivalent tool, with a track record of publishing accurate pages.
- Confidence using analytics platforms and the ability to pull useful insights from dashboards.
- Some familiarity with A/B testing, whether through direct experience or close involvement in experimentation.
- Strong attention to detail across copy, visuals, categories, pricing, and layout choices.
- Clear and proactive communication, with a collaborative approach to keeping stakeholders informed.
- Experience in a small or scaling business where responsibilities change quickly and overlap across teams.
- A working style that reflects curiosity, courage, and kindness.
Benefits
Wonderbly highlights a growth-focused environment and a range of employee benefits.
- Private healthcare cover.
- £500 annual training budget through Learnably.
- Mental health support via Spill.
- Discounted gym membership with Nuffield Health.
- Free breakfast every day, plus a well-stocked fridge.
- Regular social activities and pot-luck lunches.

Additional information
The company is evolving with a new strategy, new squads, and bigger ambitions. This role is intended to be a growth opportunity rather than a short-term stop, with a focus on developing skills, increasing ownership, and creating a path for progression as the business expands.
