Role Overview

The organization is hiring an experienced Manufacturing Draftsman for its PMFG division. In this role, you will help make sure project drawings and specifications are precise, aligned with quality standards, and ready for quoting and manufacturing. The position requires close coordination with multiple teams to confirm that all details are correct.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine customer drawings and schematics using the company’s design tools.
• Check that all weights are correct and that pricing is added where required.
• Add copies of details for parts that are not easily available in the shop, keeping those items organized alongside shop drawings.
• Carefully inspect finished drawings to ensure they are accurate, complete, and consistent with project requirements.
• Revise and update drawings whenever material selections or manufacturing methods change during the project.
• Work with different departments to stay aligned on project needs and deliverables.

Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
• Prior experience working as a draftsman or in a similar drafting position.
• Strong working knowledge of CAD software, including AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of metal building manufacturing, materials, and fabrication methods.
• Strong planning, organization, and time management abilities.
• High level of precision and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-based environment.
• Familiarity with drafting and manufacturing standards and regulations related to metal buildings.
