Role overview

This position is responsible for leading engineering management support for assigned projects. The role ensures that project delivery meets contractual commitments, safety expectations, quality standards, technical requirements, budget targets, and schedule milestones.

A key part of the job is planning and coordinating the engineering resources needed across all disciplines so they are deployed effectively throughout the full project lifecycle.

Experience and skills

• You should bring at least 15 years of overall professional experience, including 5 years in design management for large oil and gas projects.
• Working knowledge of international engineering standards, including Shell DEP requirements and/or QatarEnergy standards relevant to the area of expertise, is expected.
• The role calls for strong leadership, coordination, communication, and management capability, backed by clear evidence of use in similar settings.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on projects involving FEED and EPIC contractors is important.
• Solid HSE leadership experience and a proven safety-focused approach are required.

Education and professional background

• A bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from a recognized university is required.
• A postgraduate qualification would be considered an added advantage.
• Membership in a recognized professional engineering body and/or project management association would also be beneficial.
