About the Role

This position is for a Junior Energy Trader based in Dubai. You will work closely with seasoned traders, helping with market monitoring, trade execution, opportunity analysis, and building a strong understanding of global energy flows and derivatives trading. The role is intended for someone aiming to grow into a long-term trading career and willing to spend substantial time learning the craft.

Responsibilities

• Keep track of worldwide energy markets and developments that can move prices.
• Assist experienced traders with executing trades and managing positions.
• Study pricing links across different energy products and regions.
• Create, update, and maintain trading models, spreadsheets, and analytical tools.
• Observe market structure, spreads, and underlying supply-demand fundamentals.
• Help review post-trade outcomes and overall performance.
• Share research and ideas that could strengthen trading results.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in energy trading, commodities, derivatives, brokerage, market analysis, or a similar area.
• Working knowledge of futures, swaps, options, or physical energy markets.
• Strong ability to analyze data and work with numbers.
• Very good attention to detail.
• Strong curiosity and desire to learn.
• High discipline and personal responsibility.
• Ability to learn fast and operate independently.
