Junior Project Manager

About the role

Pittman, a member of Bunzl PLC, is a fast-expanding distributor operating across Irish, UK, and global markets. As the business continues to grow, the Installation team is hiring a Junior Installation Project Manager to help deliver customer installation projects.

This is a career-development position for someone who wants to build practical project management experience while learning about project coordination, subcontractor handling, customer communication, and on-site operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate installation workstreams and timelines.
• Work closely with customers, subcontractors, and internal colleagues.
• Monitor project advancement and important delivery milestones.
• Help with site visits and installation-related activities.
• Support preparation of RAMS, safety paperwork, and site induction processes.
• Keep project documentation organised and provide regular reporting.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement efforts.
• Carry out additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in administration, operations, coordination, construction, or installation-related work.
• Strong organisational ability and careful attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication, plus solid interpersonal skills.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to balance several priorities at once.
• Strong motivation to learn and grow into a project management position.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools.
• A full clean Irish driving licence is preferred.

Additional information

This is a fully on-site role in Athy, County Kildare. You will also need to travel to customer and installation locations across Ireland.

The expected salary range for this position is €32,000 to €40,000.
