Microsoft Endpoint & Identity Engineer

Role overview

A Dublin-based client is looking for a skilled Microsoft Endpoint & Identity Engineer to help drive modern workplace and endpoint management work across a sizeable enterprise setting. This contract position centres on Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, endpoint administration, identity services, and contemporary deployment solutions such as Windows Autopilot and Windows Hello for Business.

Key responsibilities

• Run and improve Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager administration and performance.
• Plan and maintain the processes used for enrolling devices and managing their lifecycle.
• Implement and support Windows Autopilot and Windows Hello for Business.
• Handle device compliance rules, configuration policies, and application rollout tasks.
• Work with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) services and related administration.
• Support identity and access controls, including Conditional Access and device-based access rules.
• Investigate and resolve issues linked to endpoint management, enrolment, and policy enforcement.
• Contribute to modern workplace upgrades and security-focused improvement initiatives.
• Prepare clear technical documentation and operational runbooks.
• Partner with internal IT teams and participate in knowledge-sharing and handover activities.

Required experience

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft infrastructure, endpoint management, or modern workplace engineering.
• Practical expertise in Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Background in managing endpoint compliance, device policies, and application deployment.
• Good troubleshooting skills across endpoint and identity platforms.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale Windows environments.

Nice to have

• Full lifecycle experience with Windows Autopilot deployments.
• Experience rolling out Windows Hello for Business.
• Understanding of identity governance and access management concepts.
• Experience contributing to endpoint modernisation or transformation programmes.
• Exposure to security-oriented device management approaches.
