Security Supervisor

Role overview

Citymax Hotels by Landmark Group is looking for a Security Supervisor to lead on-site security operations in Dubai. The role works closely with the Chief Security Manager to help create a secure environment for guests and team members while ensuring that hotel SOPs and emergency procedures are followed. This position also oversees outsourced security staff and coordinates their work when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate security staff and support patrol coverage across the property to maintain a safe experience for guests and employees.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships across all hotel departments.
• Coordinate with government bodies and law enforcement agencies whenever the situation requires it.
• Work with external security providers when extra manpower is needed.
• Log, escalate, and follow up on safety deviations, risks, and unusual incidents.
• Investigate thefts and other serious matters as appropriate, and report issues such as criminal activity, losses, accidents affecting life or property, staff misconduct, and any guest or employee concerns that require management attention.
• Prepare incident documentation and ensure allegations are properly reviewed and resolved.
• Support other departments with guidance on safety and security procedures.
• Ensure department heads and hotel teams are aware of their security responsibilities.
• Plan and deliver regular awareness sessions covering safety, security, and evacuation procedures.
• Stay fully informed about fire safety and emergency response procedures.
• Manage key control across departments.
• Monitor and report any damage to hotel property.
• Respond immediately to fire, disorder, or other emergency situations.
• Apply hotel policies, rules, and procedures consistently and firmly.
• Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive reports and cases.
• Check and verify reports, facts, and supporting details before submission.
• Train and mentor new in-house and outsourced security personnel.
• Carry out monthly security audits and report findings to the Chief Security Manager.
• Inspect security equipment regularly to ensure it remains in proper working order.
• Organize and conduct mock fire evacuation drills in line with hotel emergency standards.
• Handle complaints, disagreements, and grievances through appropriate resolution or negotiation.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a comparable security role in the UAE.
• Working knowledge of administrative tasks and documentation.
• First aid knowledge or certification.
• Firefighting qualification.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems.
• Experience in training and coaching others.
• SIRA Security Supervisor certification is required.
• A UAE driving license is an added advantage, though it is not compulsory.
