Store Supervisor

Role Overview

The Store Supervisor will be responsible for managing incoming materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring smooth store operations at the Chorasi, Gujarat site. This role requires close coordination with quality control, production, outsourcing teams, and contract workers to keep materials properly documented, safely stored, and available when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the receipt and unloading of raw materials, ensuring all supporting paperwork such as delivery challans, invoices, and purchase orders is correctly handled.
• Check the quantity and quality of received materials against purchase orders and work with QC to complete GRN clearance.
• Keep inventory data accurate through SAP or manual record-keeping methods.
• Carry out regular stock verification and cycle counts to reduce mismatches in inventory.
• Track slow-moving and obsolete stock and ensure it is identified in time.
• Release raw materials to production and outsourcing teams according to planned schedules.
• Set up and maintain an organized storage arrangement that makes efficient use of available space.
• Make sure storage conditions suit the specific needs of each material, including rust protection and weather safeguarding where required.
• Ensure safe material handling by enforcing correct use of tools and personal protective equipment.
• Arrange periodic safety drills and training sessions for contract workers involved in material handling.
• Follow ISO, 5S, and other internal and industry compliance standards.
• Compile and share weekly and monthly reports covering inventory status and material movements.
• Introduce improvements that help increase inventory turnover and shorten lead times.
• Create standard operating procedures for store activities to improve consistency and reduce mistakes.
