Role Overview
SSP UK & Ireland is hiring a Supervisor for the Starbucks location at Bournemouth Station. This is a part-time position offering 20 hours per week in a busy hospitality setting. The hourly pay is £13.61, and the site operates from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. Shifts may fall on weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, and public holidays, so flexibility is important.
What the Role Involves
In this position, you will support day-to-day operations, guide the team through busy periods, and help create a positive, high-energy workplace. You will also be expected to keep service standards strong, respond to customer and team needs, and stay focused on improving unit performance.
Key Duties
- Manage opening, closing, and daily running of the unit while handling problems quickly and effectively.
- Lead the team during busy shifts and help maintain a upbeat and productive atmosphere.
- Support excellent customer service and act as a reliable point of contact for both guests and team members.
- Monitor performance closely and encourage practical improvements where needed.
What Makes You a Good Fit
This role suits someone who enjoys a fast-moving environment, likes working with people, and is motivated by making a visible difference each day. Prior experience leading a team in hospitality or retail is desirable, and experience with stock counts, stock ordering, and invoices would be an advantage.
Additional Requirements
Because of the nature of some duties and shifts, applicants must be 18 years of age or older and able to handle and sell alcohol.
Benefits
- Discounted meals and free parking while on shift.
- Employee discounts.
- Access to a friends and family discount app.
- Training, apprenticeships, and development opportunities.
- Health and wellbeing support.
- A rewarding, fast-paced role with the chance to lead people and influence the shift environment.
Equality Statement
SSP says it values diversity and aims to build a team made up of different skills, talents, and backgrounds.
