Window Cleaner

About the role

This part-time position involves travelling across the Midlands to clean windows and carry out specialist cleaning for retail premises, ensuring work is completed to company standards. A company vehicle and equipment are provided, so holding a valid driving licence is essential. Previous window cleaning experience is preferred so the successful candidate can begin work to the expected standard, although any role-specific training will be supplied.

Working hours

The role follows Monday to Friday hours, typically from 6:00am to 2:00pm. The start time can be flexible. The shift is generally an 8-hour working day, though hours may vary depending on the site, client requirements, and other operational factors.

Main duties

• Complete assigned work from the supervisor or line manager in a prompt and safe manner.
• Operate specialist tools and equipment provided by the company to remove dirt, stains, and allergens effectively.
• Carry out scheduled deep-cleaning tasks in line with client requirements and planned intervals.
• Follow company, client, legal, health and safety, hygiene, cleanliness, fire, and COSHH procedures at all times.
• Identify and report health and safety concerns in line with company and client guidance, such as blocked or locked fire doors.
• Escalate customer complaints or compliments and, where possible, take appropriate corrective action.
• Report accidents, fires, theft, loss, damage, or any other unusual incidents immediately to the line manager or supervisor.

Candidate requirements

Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and hold a full UK driving licence. Prior experience in window cleaning is required, and experience working at height or on tall buildings is desirable. The role also calls for someone who can work independently, stay motivated and self-sufficient, and still collaborate well within a team and follow instructions. A professional approach is expected.

Additional working conditions

Some weekend work and out-of-hours shifts may be needed. Where required, these will be planned in advance and paid or treated as overtime.
