Role overview
As Art Lead, you will shape and protect the visual identity of a highly immersive, photoreal game world. You will guide a team of artists across multiple disciplines and work closely with design and engineering to make sure the game looks convincing, atmospheric, and cohesive, from landscapes and worn structures to detailed characters and lighting.
What you'll do
- Set the overall hyper-realistic art direction for the game and continue refining it over time.
- Lead, coach, and support artists working across environments, characters, technical art, and animation.
- Review and steer the creation of assets, lighting, and world-building so the final result stays grounded in realism.
- Build and maintain efficient, scalable production workflows and pipelines.
- Work closely with design and engineering teams to ensure visuals strengthen gameplay and storytelling.
- Manage the quality of both in-house and outsourced asset production.
What we're looking for
- At least 3 years of experience in AAA game development.
- Strong artistic foundations in anatomy, lighting, composition, and materials.
- Working knowledge of Unreal Engine 5, ZBrush, Blender, and Marvelous Designer; expert-level mastery is not required.
- Comfort balancing hands-on creative direction with team coordination and production planning.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across different disciplines.
