About the Role
BMD is looking for an organised Document Controller to assist a major public infrastructure project. The position plays an important part in keeping project documents accurate, up to date, and compliant throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Working alongside project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, you will help manage document systems, control revisions, and keep information moving efficiently across the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle the intake, registration, circulation, and storage of project records, including design files and as-built documentation.
- Keep document control systems aligned with project and client expectations.
- Maintain strict accuracy, quality, and revision control for all incoming and outgoing files.
- Manage document workflows such as reviews, approvals, and transmittals.
- Support project staff with document searches, retrievals, and reporting tasks.
- Follow project standards, file naming rules, and document control procedures.
- Assist with audits and help ensure document control practices meet quality and compliance obligations.
- Work with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure documents are exchanged on time.

Requirements
- Prior experience as a Document Controller or in a comparable role within construction, engineering, or infrastructure settings.
- Exposure to document management platforms such as Aconex, TeamBinder, or similar systems.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of document control processes, workflows, and compliance standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience on large-scale projects is preferred.
