Junior Data Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous Junior Data Analyst to support data gathering, reporting, and business intelligence work. This entry-level, full-time position is well suited to recent graduates or early-career professionals who enjoy working with data, spotting patterns, and turning numbers into insights that help guide business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather data from different sources, then clean, verify, and structure it so it remains accurate and consistent.
• Study datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and practical insights for the business.
• Build recurring reports, dashboards, and visual summaries for managers and other stakeholders.
• Help create and maintain business intelligence reports and performance measurement frameworks.
• Support decision-making by sharing analytical findings and recommended actions.
• Track key performance indicators and contribute to monitoring overall business results.
• Carry out one-off analyses for operational, financial, marketing, and strategic needs.
• Work with teams across functions to clarify reporting needs and business objectives.
• Protect data quality and follow data governance expectations and standards.
• Assist in automating reporting tasks and improving data collection and reporting workflows.
• Record data sources, analysis methods, and reporting steps for future reference.
• Keep up with current analytics tools, techniques, and industry practices.

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of data analysis, statistics, and reporting principles.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data handling.
• SQL familiarity for data querying and extraction is preferred.
• Exposure to visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar tools is helpful.
• Basic knowledge of Python, R, or comparable analytics tools is an added advantage.
• Good analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and critical reasoning.
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to present findings effectively.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
