Material Handler

Role overview

This position is for a Material Handler based in Magheracloone, Carrickmacross, County Monaghan. You will report to the Paint Shop Supervisor and work within a team to move incoming goods and production materials safely, accurately, and without delay. The role is focused on keeping material supply flowing smoothly between Production, Paint, and Assembly.

Working hours

This is a 40-hour Monday to Friday role, with standard hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key duties

• Manage the movement of materials in an efficient and prompt manner.
• Support production by ensuring parts are delivered accurately and on time.
• Unload incoming deliveries and place stock into storage correctly.
• Operate a counterbalance FLT and Combilift truck safely while moving around the site.
• Load and unload materials between production areas, including taking parts off and returning them to paint stillages.
• Follow internal rules for environmental handling and waste control.
• Work in line with standard operating procedures.
• Carry out general housekeeping tasks to keep the area organised and safe.

Experience and qualifications

Applicants should have prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. A valid counterbalance FLT ticket is required. You should also be comfortable using IT systems, and experience with an MRP-type system would be an advantage. A solid understanding of safe working methods is important.

The starting pay is €16, depending on experience.
