MEP Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Review and understand project contract documents, including specifications, drawings, and BOQ.
• Work closely with architects and consultants to resolve inconsistencies or gaps in project documents.
• Track and follow up on approvals for manpower, materials, method statements, and mock-ups.
• Plan day-to-day site work against weekly and monthly targets and support execution accordingly.
• Raise resource needs in advance and coordinate follow-up to ensure timely availability.
• Prepare surfaces properly before starting any activity on site.
• Carry out work execution with strong focus on workmanship, quality, safety, and timely completion.
• Use company assets and materials carefully and efficiently.
• Arrange inspections with the client or consultant to secure approvals for completed work.
• Protect finished work until final handover to the client.
• Identify snags, complete rectification, and support final handover activities.
• Maintain records such as checklists, material reconciliation statements, productivity logs, and project revision details.
• Prepare routine reports on time, including progress updates, material consumption details, and vendor invoice certification.
• Supervise site installation, testing, and commissioning of high-side equipment such as chillers, AHUs, CAHUs, and FCUs.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning coordination for chilled water piping, ducting, and ventilation systems.
• Coordinate MEP activities with other services and finishing works happening at the site.
• Communicate independently with clients in written and spoken English.
• Guide, support, and mentor junior engineers as required.
