Role overview
KADL Fitout Company is seeking a Project Engineer with an architectural fit-out background to support interior turnkey execution in the Riyadh Region. The role focuses on coordinating on-site activities, managing technical interfaces, and helping deliver projects to the required drawings, schedule, and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee interior fit-out execution so work follows approved drawings, specifications, the project timeline, and quality expectations.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep the project moving smoothly.
- Check and coordinate shop drawings before construction starts.
- Coordinate architectural, MEP, and fire protection activities to avoid conflicts and ensure proper integration.
- Track daily site progress and make sure work stays aligned with the approved program.
- Prepare and track daily and weekly work plans.
- Review and respond to RFIs and other technical queries.
- Monitor material submittals, shop drawings, and samples to confirm they match project requirements.
- Ensure all fit-out activities meet contract documents, specifications, and required quality levels.
- Supervise subcontractors and review their productivity, performance, and compliance with project obligations.
- Coordinate with Procurement to support timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Identify project risks early and suggest workable technical solutions.
- Track variations and change orders and evaluate their effect on cost and schedule.
- Attend project meetings and follow up on assigned action points.
- Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams to maintain quality and safety compliance.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress updates.
- Support cost control by watching resource use and reducing material waste.
- Take part in inspections, snagging, punch listing, and final handover activities.
- Keep all project records accurate, current, and properly organized.
- Follow company procedures, policies, and HSE rules at all times.
- Carry out other duties assigned by the Project Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in interior fit-out or turnkey construction projects.
- Good understanding of fit-out materials, construction techniques, and finishing works.
- Ability to use AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is an added advantage.
- Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
- Capable of working under pressure and handling several project tasks at the same time.
