Relationship Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and business-focused Relationship Manager to join the Small Enterprises team. This role is centered on building and managing client relationships, growing the book of business, preserving portfolio quality, and identifying opportunities to sell a wider range of banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Bring in new-to-bank clients from the small enterprise segment, covering businesses with turnover from ₹0 crore up to ₹100 crore. Use market insights, referrals, and industry contacts to generate business.
• Oversee and strengthen relationships with existing clients, maintaining regular engagement to support satisfaction and long-term retention.
• Work with internal credit stakeholders on proposal review and approval discussions, while clearly understanding client requirements and matching them with suitable products.
• Keep the portfolio healthy by ensuring renewals happen on time, compliance limits are met, documentation is complete, and early warning indicators are tracked. Focus on maintaining strong asset quality and reducing delinquency risk.
• Spot and pursue cross-sell opportunities across offerings such as trade finance, treasury, cash management, insurance, and working capital solutions.

Candidate Profile

The ideal professional will be a graduate or postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or a similar discipline, with 2 to 4 years of experience in corporate, SME, or ME banking. A solid grasp of credit evaluation and financial statements is important, along with strong communication and relationship-building abilities. The role also calls for someone who can grow business while managing risk responsibly.
