About the Role

We are a US Staffing Company specializing in placing IT consultants in contract roles across the United States. To support our growth, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior OPT Recruiter. This role involves managing the complete sourcing lifecycle, from identifying and screening candidates across various visa categories to onboarding them, crafting their profiles, maintaining engagement, and ensuring a consistent supply of market-ready consultant profiles. You will be responsible for sourcing candidates with OPT, CPT, H1B, GC, and US Citizen statuses, catering to both recent graduates and experienced professionals with over 3 years of project history. As a Senior Recruiter, you will take ownership of bench health, sourcing strategies, profile quality, consultant engagement, and end-to-end compliance readiness. You will also be expected to mentor junior recruiters as the team expands. This position is based onsite in Hyderabad and requires adherence to US business hours. Candidates must be comfortable with this schedule before applying.

Key Responsibilities

• Source IT consultants across all visa categories including OPT, CPT, H1B, GC, and US Citizens, covering both recent graduates and experienced professionals in major IT domains.
• Conduct high-volume daily sourcing through various channels such as Dice, Monster, Indeed, LinkedIn, Naukri, university portals, and specialized online groups (WhatsApp, Telegram, Google Groups), as well as direct outreach.
• Perform thorough candidate screening, assessing technical skills, communication abilities, work authorization validity, and overall market readiness, with sufficient domain knowledge to evaluate profiles in Java, Python, Data, Cloud, QA, Salesforce, and other common IT areas independently.
• Manage the entire profile preparation process, including creating and aligning consultant resumes with current market demands, developing profiles for fresh OPT/CPT graduates, and ensuring all bench consultants are submission-ready.
• Oversee all onboarding documentation and compliance, including collecting and verifying work authorization documents, EAD cards, and I-9 forms, ensuring OPT/CPT training plans are in place, and never marketing consultants with outstanding compliance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of visa statuses, work authorization expiry dates, STEM OPT extension timelines, and H1B transfer statuses, proactively alerting the operations team to any risks or expiring authorizations.
• Ensure the hotlist is consistently maintained for quality, accuracy, and freshness, organized by technology domain, visa category, experience level, and availability.
• Actively engage bench consultants post-onboarding by managing relationships, tracking availability and rolloffs, and initiating re-sourcing efforts before bench depletion.
• Collaborate closely with bench sales and delivery teams to align sourcing priorities with live requirement trends, ensuring all bench consultants are interview-ready and actively involved in their own marketing.
• Achieve a target of onboarding 3–5 new consultants to the bench weekly across various visa categories and technology domains.

What We Are Looking For

• 2–4 years of practical experience in sourcing IT consultants within the US staffing market, with a proven history across OPT, CPT, H1B, and GC categories, including both recent graduates and experienced professionals.
• A deep understanding of US visa categories and their practical implications, including OPT cap dates, STEM OPT extension requirements, H1B transfer timelines, EAD work authorization, and compliance documentation standards.
• Proficiency in profile preparation, with the ability to create resumes from scratch for recent graduates and reposition experienced professionals for current market demands.
• Sufficient technical domain knowledge to independently evaluate profiles across common IT domains, identify skill gaps, assess experience depth, and determine requirement fit.
• Strong English communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with consultants of all experience levels and maintain long-term bench relationships.
• Exceptional organizational skills and a strong follow-up discipline, capable of managing a large and diverse bench pipeline across visa categories, compliance timelines, and availability statuses without losing track.
• A self-driven and proactive attitude, taking full ownership of bench health and sourcing strategy without requiring constant direction.
