Role overview
Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for full-time 18 Week Pathway Coordinators to join its Access Team. The post focuses on improving the accuracy and quality of data used for 18-week Referral to Treatment (RTT) processes and ensuring issues are raised through the correct escalation channels.
The role supports the Trust in producing complete, correct, and timely data for mandatory 18-week submissions within both national and local deadlines.
Key duties
You will help strengthen RTT data quality by building strong knowledge of RTT rules, sharing guidance with operational teams, and promoting consistent best practice so that recurring errors can be identified and resolved.
Core work includes checking that RTT pathway information is entered and validated accurately and on time in line with national and local 18-week rules.
You will also review Patient Tracking Lists (PTLs) on a regular basis, with particular attention to patients nearing or passing the 18-week point, and take follow-up action where needed.
Another important part of the job is making sure all new waiting list admissions receive the correct RTT status within the required timeframe.
