Role Overview

This trainee role is based in the geochemistry laboratory in Jeddah and is designed for someone who is detail-driven, analytical, and eager to build a career in the mineral business. You will learn directly from experienced colleagues, gain practical exposure across lab functions, and receive structured on-the-job mentorship.

Training Areas

• Receive hands-on training in the Sample Preparation section.
• Learn laboratory processes in the Wet Chemistry section.
• Undergo practical training in the Fire Assay section.

Key Duties

• Support the lab team in applying quality assurance procedures and lab protocols.
• Use SOPs and equipment under supervision to carry out measurements and checks.
• Share lab findings and any concerns with the quality assurance team.
• Work in line with established inspection practices and safety requirements.

Skills and Qualities

• Sharp attention to detail and the ability to spot irregularities or gaps.
• Strong organization and accurate record-keeping habits.
• Analytical thinking with the ability to understand specifications and standards.
• Careful follow-through on instructions and procedural work.
• Comfort with basic technical tools and inspection equipment.
• Clear communication in both writing and speaking.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
• Interest in learning quality assurance methods and practices.

Preferred Background

• Prior exposure to quality control, production, or inspection environments is an advantage.
• Familiarity with quality assurance records or software systems is preferred.
• Basic understanding of quality standards and inspection techniques is a plus.
• Good command of English is preferred.
