About the role
As a Claims Assistant with Sedgwick, you will support the claims team and help with a range of administrative tasks based on the needs of the client program. The company emphasizes a supportive culture, career growth, and maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal life.

What you'll do
- Enter and set up new claims in the claims management system.
- Review and update notes and diary entries in the claims platform as directed.
- Handle payment processing tasks.
- Sort incoming and outgoing mail and manage filing, faxing, and photocopying.
- Draft, prepare, review, and send letters, reports, and forms.
- Respond to and place phone calls, arrange medical appointments, and provide customer support when needed.
- Assist with additional assignments and projects, including preparing and distributing computer-generated reports.
Additional responsibilities
- Take on other duties as assigned.
- Contribute to the organization’s quality programs.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is required. The role calls for at least six months of clerical or customer service experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience. Candidates should be comfortable working in a team setting and able to meet performance expectations.
Skills and work style
The position calls for strong verbal and written communication, solid computer skills including Microsoft Office, good organization, and the ability to stay effective while managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and work-related stress.
