Role Overview

The Data Analyst will collect, clean, organize, analyse, and present data from different sources to support better business decisions. The role involves turning raw information into useful insights through accurate reporting, trend analysis, and data visualisation.

Responsibilities

• Pull data from primary and secondary sources using automated tools.
• Identify and correct damaged records, data issues, and coding errors.
• Build, maintain, and improve databases, data systems, and dashboards, ensuring information is structured clearly and is easy to read.
• Review datasets to assess their quality, meaning, and reliability.
• Examine reports and performance indicators to spot issues and filter relevant data.
• Use statistical methods to detect patterns, trends, and relationships in complex datasets that support diagnosis and prediction.
• Translate essential business functions into measurable values so performance can be tracked and compared over time.
• Create management reports that highlight trends, patterns, and forecasted outcomes based on relevant data.
• Work with ground operations teams and management to identify process improvements, suggest system changes, and support data governance practices.
• Prepare final analysis reports for stakeholders so they can understand the analysis process and make informed decisions.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, econometrics, quantitative sociology, or another related scientific discipline.
• More than 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of SQL and Power BI.
• Strong analytical ability, causal reasoning, and a high standard for statistical accuracy.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Practical experience with database design and development, data models, data mining techniques, and segmentation.
• Exposure to reporting tools such as Business Objects and database environments.
• Solid understanding of statistics and statistical tools such as Excel, SPSS, Power BI, and SAS for data analysis.
• Knowledge of data visualisation tools and techniques.
• Ability to design and apply suitable algorithms to datasets in order to solve business problems.
