Role overview
InnoCellence is looking for a Data Scientist to help turn sensor and clinical-study data into practical insights. The role focuses on building and refining algorithms that support digital health work, improve understanding of clinical outcomes, and help solve customer business challenges.
Applications are open to PhD graduates at every stage of their career, including people who are finishing or have just finished their doctorate. Research backgrounds in clinical data science, wearable sensors, signal processing, and digital health are considered just as valuable as industry experience.
What you will do
- Partner with customers to define the core problems, shape hypotheses, and test them using clinical study data.
- Create and deploy machine learning methods for analysing sensor inputs such as accelerometer and heart-rate data, and explore new digital measures with clinical value.
- Prepare and clean large sensor datasets by handling noise, missing values, and time alignment issues so they can be analysed effectively.
- Check and interpret model outputs to maintain accuracy, performance, and scalability for real-time sensor-stream processing.
- Present results clearly to stakeholders through visualisations, reports, and presentations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to build data-driven solutions that address business requirements.
- Keep learning about advances in data science and clinical research and apply better methods over time.
Required profile
- Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline.
- Hands-on exposure to data science through research, internships, or professional work; doctoral research in signal processing, clinical data, wearables, or time-series machine learning also counts. Fresh PhD graduates with strong project work in these areas are encouraged.
- Strong understanding of time-series analysis, signal processing, and feature engineering.
- Working knowledge of programming tools and libraries such as Python, R, TensorFlow, and PyTorch for analytics and machine learning.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Exposure to large language models or generative AI, including coursework, research, prompt engineering, or early project work, is preferred.
- Experience or familiarity with computer vision, speech/audio processing, cloud deployment tools such as AWS or Azure, and data-pipeline development is preferred.
- Experience in healthcare or pharmaceuticals, especially clinical trials or digital health devices, is also preferred.
Additional information
The role is based in Singapore and is a full-time onsite position. The job posting does not mention salary, stipend, number of vacancies, or a fixed start date.
