Role Overview
This full-time remote position supports TRIG Collective’s internal technology environment and digital systems. The Information Technology Specialist will help keep networks, software, and hardware running smoothly, handle routine system administration tasks, and provide day-to-day technical support to employees. The role also includes responding to help desk requests, resolving common issues, escalating more complex matters when needed, and ensuring that user access and security practices stay organized and effective.
In addition to technical maintenance, the specialist will work closely with creative and account teams to make sure the tools they rely on remain secure, stable, and easy to use. A major part of the job is offering patient, clear, and friendly support to non-technical colleagues so work can move forward without disruption.
Responsibilities
- Monitor internal networks and help maintain the company’s digital infrastructure.
- Perform basic system administration tasks and support regular technology upkeep.
- Install, update, and maintain software and hardware as required.
- Respond to help desk requests and resolve common technical problems.
- Troubleshoot issues related to software, hardware, and connectivity.
- Escalate more complicated technical issues to the appropriate person or team.
- Support routine network security practices, including access and permission management.
- Manage user accounts and permissions for employees as needed.
- Provide clear, courteous technical assistance to staff members with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Collaborate with creative and account teams to keep work tools functioning efficiently.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of information technology concepts, including operating systems, hardware, and cloud-based tools.
- Ability to assist with network administration and routine network security activities.
- Strong problem-solving ability to identify and fix common technical issues.
- Comfort communicating technical information in a simple, respectful, and customer-focused manner.
- Familiarity with collaboration software and remote-work tools such as video conferencing and project management platforms.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
- Willingness to learn new tools and adapt quickly in a distributed team environment.
- Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar credentials are considered an advantage.
