Business context and purpose
The organization’s goal is to reach an annual transaction volume of one billion dollars on its digital platform by 2028. To support that target, it aims to build a network of more than 10,000 business subscribers and connect with over 1 million farmers.
Its supply operations cover aggregation depots, a warehouse network, and managed biofuel plants. The longer-term plan includes managing more than 500 depots, 100 warehouses, and 400 small biofuel manufacturing plants.
What the role involves
- Track and manage production assets for biomass banks, making sure spare parts and consumables are available according to the seasonal plan.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to arrange movement of machines across banks, yards, circles, and regions.
- Work with the insurance claims team to help ensure regional claims are regularized and settlements are followed up.
- Liaise with OEMs and the head office to secure timely delivery of spare parts and consumables.
- Maintain records in the platform for fleet-related assets such as tools, mobile vans, and workshop equipment.
- Carry out all operational activities in line with platform procedures and SOPs.
- Act as the responsible team member for asset utilization so that equipment is used optimally throughout its lifecycle.
Ideal profile
The right candidate should be comfortable using digital platforms and communication tools, and should be able to move assets in line with the region or cluster production plan. Prior experience in a similar role, supervisory work, logistics, farm equipment, or a related industry will be valuable.
The person should understand platform workflows, SOPs, and process-driven infrastructure operations, and should be able to use basic platform functions.
Strong communication, a structured working style, and exposure to Windows and ERP systems are required. The role also calls for the ability to collaborate with staff across regional levels, provide clear feedback in both written and verbal form, and communicate in one or more languages.
Opportunity
This is a challenging role with one of India’s most interesting cleantech start-ups.
