Work schedule and pay

• Full-time schedule
• Pay rate: $16.00 per hour
• Shifts run in the morning and afternoon
• Work days are Monday through Friday

Key duties

• Keep all floor areas clean by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming as needed
• Use cleaning chemicals and powered equipment correctly to avoid damaging floors or other surfaces
• Maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entry areas in clean condition
• Remove trash and arrange proper disposal, including use of a compactor for certain materials
• Wash windows, mirrors, and glass partitions using suitable products and tools
• Perform spot cleaning on carpets and assist with carpet shampooing and extraction work
• Restock paper goods and sanitation supplies
• Follow the assigned housekeeping schedule
• Use heavier cleaning equipment when required, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Complete additional tasks as needed based on the scope of work or customer requests

Qualifications

Applicants should have either a high school diploma or equivalent, or at least six months of prior experience in a janitorial-type role. The employer will provide on-the-job training. Successful candidates need strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Preferred background

Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is an advantage, along with familiarity with custodial work and commercial cleaning standards. Experience with floor care methods such as buffing and waxing, or work in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance, is also desirable.
