The organization is currently hiring a Junior Data Analyst to strengthen its analytics team.
Role Summary
This is an early-career opportunity for someone looking to begin a path in data analysis. The role focuses on helping the team collect, examine, and interpret data so that business decisions and operational outcomes can be improved.
Core Responsibilities
- Collect data from multiple sources and organize it for analysis.
- Perform initial analysis to spot trends, patterns, and irregularities.
- Build charts, visuals, and reports to share insights with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Help keep datasets consistent and support data quality checks.
- Work with senior analysts to understand business questions and contribute useful insights.
- Record analytical steps and maintain clear documentation of data sources.
- Take part in team discussions about active work and findings.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Economics. The role is open to candidates with 0 to 3 years of experience in data analysis, statistics, or a related area.
Useful technical foundations include Excel, SQL, and familiarity with Python or R. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and comfort working with large datasets are important. Good written and verbal communication skills are also expected, along with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-moving environment.
Preferred Background
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is an advantage. Familiarity with statistical methods and related software, along with knowledge of data management practices, would be helpful. Internship experience or relevant coursework in data analysis is also beneficial.
Security Requirement
Candidates should have an active Secret Clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual pay range for this position is $107,000 to $115,000. The compensation range is broad because of government contracting factors, including contract pricing, labor category requirements, funding conditions, and differences in candidate experience and qualifications.
