Responsibilities

• Review software requirements and functional specifications to understand what needs to be tested.
• Create clear, structured test cases aligned with business needs.
• Carry out manual testing for both web and desktop applications.
• Run functional, regression, smoke, and sanity tests as part of quality checks.
• Log defects accurately and track them through bug reporting tools.
• Recheck fixes and perform retesting after issues are resolved.
• Keep test execution records and related testing documents up to date.
• Coordinate with developers to reproduce issues and support resolution efforts.
• Take part in requirement discussions and sprint planning sessions.
• Help ensure the product meets quality expectations before release.
• Contribute ideas to improve testing workflows and documentation practices.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of software testing principles.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Awareness of the software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Ability to write precise and effective test cases.
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting ability.
• High attention to detail.
• Basic SQL knowledge will be considered an advantage.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Openness to learning new tools, technologies, and testing methods.
• Familiarity with manual testing concepts is preferred.
• Exposure to APIs or databases is an added advantage.
