Role overview

The company is seeking a commercially aware Business Intelligence Analyst to expand its reporting capability, improve visibility into business performance, and help teams make better decisions using data.

Key responsibilities

Business intelligence and dashboard creation

• Work with commercial, finance, and operations teams to translate reporting needs into practical BI solutions.
• Create, update, and support interactive dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI.
• Build new dashboard views to reflect changing business priorities and track performance effectively.
• Strengthen visibility into core metrics such as sales, margins, inventory, receivables, and operational results.
• Refine dashboards over time based on stakeholder feedback and evolving business needs.

Analysis and insights

• Review business data to spot trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
• Assist with management reporting through ad hoc analysis and periodic performance reviews.
• Turn data findings into practical recommendations for commercial and operational leaders.

Automation and efficiency improvement

• Find opportunities to automate repetitive reports and reduce manual reporting effort.
• Simplify reporting workflows using automation and AI-supported solutions.
• Contribute to process improvement by strengthening reporting structures and workflows.

Data quality and cross-functional collaboration

• Help improve data quality, consistency, and reporting discipline across business functions.
• Identify weaknesses in data capture and reporting processes and suggest workable fixes.
• Coordinate with internal and external technical partners, including data engineers and system vendors, to support reporting and integration requirements.
• Serve as the link between business users and technical teams to ensure reporting solutions are delivered effectively.

AI-enabled productivity

• Use AI tools to improve dashboard creation, reporting automation, and workflow efficiency.
• Apply AI-assisted coding tools to speed up development and troubleshooting.
• Keep up with new AI and analytics tools that can boost productivity and capability.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• Three to five years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, or analytics.
• Practical, hands-on expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard creation, DAX, and data modelling.
• Experience collaborating with commercial or operational teams to support decisions.
• Good understanding of business processes, KPI monitoring, and performance reporting.
• Comfort using AI tools and AI-assisted coding to improve reporting and automation tasks.
• Strong communication ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and a mindset for continuous learning.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG, distribution, or inventory-led businesses will be an advantage.
• Exposure to automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate or Python is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of APIs, systems integration, or data structures is beneficial.
