Data & AI Analyst

Role overview

This position sits within Deloitte’s Digital Assurance Data team and focuses on combining analytics, automation and AI-enabled tooling to support Audit & Assurance work and client transformation initiatives. The work centres on large enterprise datasets, often complex and messy, to help improve insight, transparency and decision-making across a range of industries.

What you’ll do

• Partner with Audit & Assurance teams, clients and technical experts to turn business issues into practical analytical solutions.
• Clean, transform and analyse client data, including large and complex datasets, using SQL and Python.
• Run data quality validations, reconciliations and anomaly checks to support accurate and reliable outcomes.
• Build dashboards and visualisations in Power BI, Tableau or similar tools to present insights clearly.
• Use AI-assisted tools and contemporary analytics methods to improve efficiency and problem-solving.
• Share findings, risks and progress clearly while continuing to strengthen consulting and technical capability.

Team context

You’ll join a collaborative group made up of data analysts, scientists, engineers and management consultants. The team supports Deloitte’s AI, analytics and automation transformation capability across Audit & Assurance and client engagements, delivering scalable solutions across sectors such as resources, energy, financial services and government.

What we’re looking for

• 1 to 3 years of experience in data analytics or data engineering.
• Strong working knowledge of Python and SQL for ETL, analysis and automation.
• Exposure to AI-assisted analytics or development tools, with curiosity about emerging AI technologies.
• Solid problem-solving skills and a strong eye for detail when handling data.
• Experience creating dashboards, visualisations or interactive data applications using tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Streamlit.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical ideas in simple terms.
• A collaborative approach and a genuine desire to keep learning.
• Comfort working across multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional services setting.
