Role overview
The Data Entry Analyst will work on a part-time, remote basis to enter, update, and maintain information connected to privatisation projects, transactions, and stakeholder records across the organization’s systems and databases. The position supports reliable data handling, record organization, and the preparation of simple summaries that help with analysis and decision-making.
Core duties
- Input and refresh data related to privatisation initiatives, transaction records, and stakeholder details in the assigned systems.
- Review records for errors, missing fields, and mismatches, then help correct inconsistencies.
- Prepare basic summaries and reports that can support analytical work and internal decisions.
- Organize datasets so information is easier to manage, store, and retrieve when needed.
- Support data integrity by following established data management procedures and confidentiality rules.
- Coordinate with colleagues to gather required inputs and keep records complete.
- Assist with digitizing documents and maintaining orderly information storage for current and future use.
Qualifications and requirements
- Sound analytical ability, with a foundation in data analysis for checking and validating information.
- Basic understanding of statistics and introductory data modeling concepts to interpret numerical data.
- Good communication skills for sharing findings and working with team members.
- Comfort using spreadsheets and data entry tools such as Excel or Google Sheets, along with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- A background in economics, statistics, data science, business, or a similar field is preferred.
- Experience in government, public policy, or research settings is considered an advantage.
- Must be able to work independently in a remote environment, manage time well, and follow data security and confidentiality standards.
- Should be adaptable to changing priorities and tasks.
