Finance Operations Assistant

Role overview

This is a junior, part-time contract opportunity for a meticulous and proactive Finance Operations Assistant. The role is designed for someone with a background in financial administration who can work effectively in a busy environment. The main purpose of the position is to take ownership of day-to-day operational finance activities so senior colleagues can concentrate on higher-level work.

Role details

Duration: 3 months initially

Working pattern: 15-20 hours per week, with 2 days per week onsite in London

Location: London Area, United Kingdom

IR35: Inside IR35

Rate: £200-£250 per day

Key responsibilities

• Handle invoice processing, monitor payments, and support both accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Keep financial spreadsheets accurate, current, and well organised.
• Carry out established finance procedures carefully to help day-to-day operations run smoothly.
• Assist the finance team with general administrative duties when needed.

Ideal candidate profile

The preferred candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in an operational finance position, such as Finance Assistant, Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk, or Junior Finance Analyst. They should be comfortable working with spreadsheets, understand payable and receivable workflows, and bring a strong eye for detail along with good organisational ability.

This is a part-time, onsite contract role at junior level. The initial engagement is for 3 months and is governed by Inside IR35 terms.
