Maintenance Technician - Elevators & Escalators

About the role

KONE is hiring Maintenance Technicians to support its growth across the Middle East, Turkey & Africa region. This position suits professionals with a strong service orientation who can help deliver reliable equipment performance, safer operations, and a positive customer experience.

In this role, you will handle routine maintenance activities and respond to call-outs, while keeping customers informed through clear and timely communication. The role sits at the center of day-to-day service delivery and contributes directly to equipment safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

What you'll do

• Build customer confidence through high-quality service and clear on-site updates, including estimated arrival times and details of completed work.
• Record work completed accurately and in real time at the equipment level.
• Monitor equipment safety and performance and flag concerns promptly.
• Identify site-related risks and escalate them to the supervisor without delay when needed.
• Take immediate action on site when a high-risk issue is found and follow the required escalation process.
• Spot repair needs that fall outside planned maintenance and communicate them appropriately.
• Keep end users and the worksite safe during service activities.
• Carry out maintenance operations according to the correct maintenance and safety instructions.
• Complete planned maintenance, call-outs, and service repairs within the required schedule, time limits, and quality standards.
• Share potential sales opportunities with the supervisor when identified.
• Submit accurate and timely reports for all completed work.
• Prepare and submit timesheets based on actual execution.
• Maintain service tools, vehicle, instruments, and related equipment in safe and working condition.
• Provide regular updates to the supervisor on all relevant matters.

What we're looking for

• ITI, vocational certificate, diploma, or equivalent engineering qualification in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation streams.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Basic IT knowledge is preferred.
• Basic digital skills will be an advantage.
• At least 5 years of proven preventive maintenance and troubleshooting experience with a well-known elevator company.
• A valid GCC driving license is a plus.
