About the Role

Arup in Ireland is inviting expressions of interest from Mechanical & Electrical Engineers across all seniority levels. This role is based in Ireland, with opportunities in Dublin, Cork, or Limerick, and focuses on delivering meaningful engineering work that contributes to better buildings, stronger communities, and improved lives.

As part of a collaborative and growing team, you will help solve complex design challenges using creativity, technical depth, and a strong commitment to sustainable outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Develop mechanical and electrical service designs for a broad mix of building types, including commercial, residential, healthcare, science, industrial, technology, and education projects.
• Create innovative, practical, and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary engineers and designers to deliver complex, high-quality projects in Ireland and internationally.
• Take responsibility for project delivery, ensuring work is completed on schedule and within budget.
• Maintain effective relationships with clients and other stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine interest in sustainability and a desire to create positive impact.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience designing building services systems such as HVAC, pressure cascades, and specialist gases, along with knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice in industrial, healthcare, and/or third-level education settings.
• Comfort working in a BIM-based environment.
• Strong understanding of relevant codes of practice and industry standards.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and commercial proposals for clients.
