OCI Developer / Integration Engineer

Role overview

This position is for an integration professional who can design, develop, deploy, and support enterprise integrations on Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role calls for someone who can connect business systems, create dependable data flows, and keep integrations stable in production.

What you will be doing

• Create and maintain integration solutions using Oracle Integration Cloud, including flows, adapters, and connections.
• Develop, set up, and release solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Link enterprise platforms such as ERP, HCM, and custom applications using REST and SOAP services.
• Handle mapping, transformation, and orchestration of data between source and destination systems.
• Design and work with APIs and integration interfaces, including both publishing and consuming services.
• Add strong exception handling, retry logic, logs, and fault management into integration processes.
• Track, diagnose, and improve integration performance while resolving live issues.
• Write and maintain PL/SQL and use Oracle databases for data access and transformations.
• Prepare documentation for integration architecture, mappings, and interface details.
• Work closely with functional consultants and application teams to gather and refine integration needs.
• Take part in unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing for integrations.
• Assist with deployment, environment moves, and support after go-live.

What we are looking for

• 3 to 6 years of experience in integration development, preferably with Oracle Integration Cloud.
• Practical experience designing and delivering solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Good understanding of integration design patterns, REST and SOAP web services, and API design.
• Hands-on experience with data mapping, transformation techniques such as XSLT or JSON, and orchestration.
• Strong PL/SQL skills and experience working with Oracle databases.
• Experience building reliable integrations with error handling, fault management, and monitoring.
• Knowledge of authentication and security concepts in integrations, such as OAuth and certificates.
• Ability to collect requirements and collaborate with both technical and functional stakeholders.

Nice-to-have experience

• Integration work with Oracle SaaS applications like ERP Cloud and HCM Cloud.
• Exposure to Visual Builder (VBCS), Oracle SOA Suite, or other Oracle PaaS products.
• Understanding of messaging queues and event-driven integration approaches.
• Experience with SFTP-based file integrations and B2B integrations.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and automated integration deployments.
• Prior work in an enterprise or government Oracle environment.
• Oracle certifications related to OCI or OIC.
