About the role
British American Tobacco Nigeria is hiring a Repairs & Replacement Store Executive (non-management) in Ibadan. The position exists to keep critical spare parts available for manufacturing operations across PMD, SMD, and Engineering. You will help ensure that repairs-and-replacement store activities run smoothly, stock movements are recorded correctly in SAP, and spare parts are delivered to internal teams accurately and on time.
The role supports the supply of machinery spares to SMD, PMD, FMD, QA, and other departments, with proper documentation for every issue and receipt.
Key responsibilities
- Handle daily repairs-and-replacement store operations while protecting stock from loss, damage, or unnecessary write-offs through proper storage and security controls.
- Release spare parts quickly to production and other user departments so machine downtime is kept to a minimum.
- Check incoming orders against specifications, complete receiving and GR processes, and maintain complete accuracy in all inbound and outbound SAP postings to avoid cost discrepancies or posting exceptions.
- Support the identification, grouping, and movement of spares during write-off activities.
- Take part in monthly stock counts, year-end counts, and reconciliations with Finance and external auditors.
- Work closely with the spare planner to maintain full visibility of incoming and outgoing stock movements.
- Join periodic and monthly stock-taking exercises and track defective or rejected spares for obsolescence management.
Requirements
- OND in Engineering or another numerically oriented discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience working in an FMCG store environment, with strong practical knowledge of inventory control.
- Solid working knowledge of SAP or another inventory management system.
- Good command of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
