Role Summary

The Tailor will be responsible for ensuring hotel garments and uniforms are altered, repaired, fitted, and maintained to a luxury hospitality standard. This role also involves supporting guests with garment fixes when needed, maintaining equipment and work areas, and coordinating with internal departments to keep uniform operations running smoothly.

Key Duties

• Handle alterations, repairs, and fittings for staff uniforms and guest clothing while maintaining high-end hotel standards.
• Keep all hotel uniforms looking neat, well-fitted, and in good condition.
• Inspect garments regularly to determine whether repairs or replacements are necessary.
• Carry out sewing, hemming, resizing, patching, and other clothing adjustments with accuracy and efficiency.
• Keep tailoring tools, machines, and workspaces clean, safe, and properly arranged.
• Work closely with housekeeping, laundry, and human resources teams on uniform stock and related needs.
• Provide minor alterations or urgent garment fixes for guests when required.
• Maintain clear records of uniform distribution, alteration work, and repairs completed.
• Deliver professional service, protect confidentiality, and maintain a courteous approach at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

This position calls for 2 to 3 years of tailoring experience in hospitality or luxury settings. Candidates should be confident using industrial sewing equipment and handling alterations and fittings. A careful eye for detail, polished presentation, strong organization, and solid time management are also important.

About the Work Environment

This is an on-site role based in Kilimani division, Nairobi County, Kenya.
