Technical Architect - Java & Microservices

About the Role

This opportunity is for an experienced Technical Architect who can shape, build, and oversee enterprise applications centered on Java and microservices. The role calls for strong expertise in scalable system design, cloud-native engineering, distributed architectures, and modern development practices.

The position is based only in Noida, and the virtual interview is scheduled for 4 July 2026. The expected experience range is 7 to 12 years.

Key Responsibilities

• Design complete end-to-end architectures for enterprise applications built on Java and microservices principles.
• Develop system designs that are scalable, highly available, and resilient to failures.
• Prepare architecture deliverables such as diagrams, design documentation, and technical roadmaps.
• Make sure solutions follow enterprise architecture standards and established best practices.
• Define service decomposition approaches, bounded contexts, and API agreements.
• Build REST APIs and asynchronous communication models, including event-driven patterns.
• Apply microservices design patterns such as API gateway, service discovery, circuit breaker, and saga.
• Support implementation teams using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and related technologies.
• Plan and architect cloud-native systems on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Design container-based applications with Docker and Kubernetes platforms such as AKS, EKS, or GKE.
• Ensure operational readiness through autoscaling, health checks, and zero-downtime deployment strategies.
• Create approaches for improving performance, caching, and high-load handling.
• Apply security controls such as OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, API protection, and encryption of data.
• Lead architecture reviews, threat assessments, and non-functional requirement evaluations.
• Set standards for logging, metrics, tracing, and overall system reliability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
• Work closely with product owners, engineering managers, and DevOps teams to deliver solutions successfully.
• Take part in code reviews, design reviews, and release planning while ensuring compliance with standards.
• Document architectural decisions, reference implementations, and recommended practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong practical experience in Java 8 or later along with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and integration approaches.
• Ability to design REST APIs and manage API governance, versioning, and gateway-based patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Exposure to event streaming or messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and caching concepts such as Redis.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and DevOps workflows, especially for microservice delivery pipelines.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry, or Application Insights.
