Role overview
As an Account Development Representative on the Account Management & Customer Success team, you will help expand existing client relationships and create new business opportunities inside Core accounts. The role centers on outbound prospecting, with some support for inbound leads, and requires strong discovery and qualification skills to build a healthy pipeline for the sales organization.
You will work closely with Account Managers, Business Development Representatives, and Customer Success Managers across a fixed set of accounts. The focus is on uncovering growth opportunities, engaging the right stakeholders, and moving promising opportunities forward through thoughtful outreach and collaboration. Although this position does not own the final close, it is important to sales growth because it strengthens pipeline quality and supports the wider revenue team.
Primary responsibilities
- Prospect proactively and handle inbound account leads to generate well-qualified opportunities for the sales team.
- Run discovery conversations and assess fit carefully before passing opportunities along.
- Consistently work toward monthly and quarterly targets tied to qualified opportunities and pipeline contribution.
- Collaborate with Account Managers, Business Development Representatives, and Customer Success Managers to grow a fixed book of accounts.
- Re-engage stalled opportunities by widening account contact and restoring momentum through the funnel.
- Research accounts and territories to identify new contacts, key decision-makers, and expansion potential.
- Prepare personalized outreach using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach.io, and Highspot.
- Keep Salesforce records accurate and current so opportunity progress is easy to track.
- Review calls and interactions in Gong and use insights to sharpen outreach and qualification tactics.
- Build strong knowledge of PitchBook’s products and the private capital markets to add value in every conversation.
- Contribute positively to the company culture by modeling desired behaviors and supporting team values.
- Take part in company initiatives and special projects when needed.
Qualifications and requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- At least 1 year of outbound prospecting experience is needed.
- You should bring a customer-first mindset and enjoy engaging potential users for account growth.
- Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM is preferred.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills, plus good attention to detail, are important.
- An interest in financial markets or services, especially private equity and venture capital, is valued.
- You need to work with urgency and consistently deliver results.
- Good prioritization and pipeline management skills are necessary.
- Comfort interacting with a wide variety of clients is expected.
- You should be persistent, target-driven, and effective in team settings.
- A collaborative mindset and openness to testing new ideas are important.
- Solid Microsoft Office skills are required, including strong use of Outlook, Word, and Excel, along with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Candidates must already be authorized to work in Singapore without current or future visa sponsorship.
Work environment
This position is based in a standard office environment and is expected to be onsite five days per week. The role involves regular use of a PC and phone throughout the day, and limited business travel may be required for visits to other offices, meetings, or events.
