Role Overview
This position is for an Assistant Manager based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, with responsibility for procurement-related coordination and commercial support across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Study market conditions to support the sourcing of services and goods.
- Work closely with Engineering, Production, and other internal teams.
- Draft internal notes and documents needed for approvals.
- Review and clear billing break-ups for accuracy.
- Apply knowledge of contract terms and conditions in day-to-day work.
- Handle procurement activities for large-capex projects across different assignments.
- Manage bank guarantees and advance payment-related matters.
- Maintain a vendor database covering raw materials, spares, consumables, capital goods, and services.
- Prepare departmental MIS reports.
- Support post-award work such as change order proposals, quantity/rate variations, extra items, time extensions, and follow-up to ensure timely delivery of commitments.
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a B.E. or B.Tech degree and have at least 4 years of relevant professional experience.
Eligibility
Applicants with the required engineering qualification and a minimum of 4 years of experience in a relevant procurement/commercial role are suitable for this position.
