About the Opportunity

This role sits within the BigFuture division of College Board’s Recruitment & Enrollment Solutions team. It is designed for someone who can combine client onboarding, implementation planning, training design, and customer experience work to help higher education partners adopt and use enrollment solutions effectively.

The position supports institutions using College Board products such as Search, Connections, and related enrollment offerings. The work directly contributes to sales support, customer success, retention, third-party partner success, and the needs of individual clients across the RES team.

Location and Work Setup

This is a remote position. Candidates located near a College Board office may choose either fully remote work or a hybrid arrangement with in-office days on Tuesday and Wednesday. All employees may need to travel occasionally for business meetings in person.

Role Overview

The Associate Director will lead onboarding and implementation experiences, create and deliver training programs, and help improve adoption through strong learning resources and customer feedback. The role blends instructional design, enablement, and cross-functional coordination to ensure partners are set up for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding and implementation make up about 40-45% of the role, training and learning experience design account for 35-40%, and customer insights and cross-functional enablement represent 20-25%.

Onboarding & Partner Implementation

  • Own the full onboarding journey for new higher education partners and help move them smoothly from sale to active product use.
  • Create and manage implementation plans tailored to the capabilities included in each Search subscription level.
  • Act as a strategic partner to clients as they incorporate College Board tools into admissions and enrollment workflows.
  • Work closely with Customer Success and Sales teams to track onboarding milestones, implementation schedules, and early usage signals.

Training, Enablement & Learning Experience Design

  • Build and run training programs for live, virtual, and in-person audiences across higher education.
  • Lead webinars, workshops, and presentations using Zoom and similar tools.
  • Develop reusable self-service materials such as guides, videos, toolkits, and LMS-based content to support continued client adoption.
  • Use instructional design best practices to create engaging, practical learning experiences.
  • Prepare polished learning and presentation assets, including slide decks, guides, videos, and digital materials.
  • Help shape training journeys and content pathways inside a learning management system.

Customer Insights, Experience & Cross-Functional Enablement

  • Maintain a strong customer experience across onboarding, implementation, and training interactions.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze client feedback to identify needs and improve product adoption and training programs.
  • Collaborate with teams across Product, Go-to-Market, Sales, and Customer Success to align efforts and improve outcomes.

About You

Success in this role calls for a strong grasp of higher education recruitment, admissions, and enrollment challenges, along with a customer-first approach. You should be able to explain complex tools clearly, stay organized across multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-moving environment. Comfort with ambiguity, cross-team collaboration, and productivity platforms is important.

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree is required. Candidates should have at least 3-5+ years of experience in onboarding, implementation, training, customer success, or a similar field. The role also requires strong communication and presentation skills, experience delivering virtual and in-person training, including webinars, and willingness to travel 3-5 times per year for events and team initiatives.

Technical & Platform Experience

Helpful experience includes working with CRM and enrollment platforms such as Slate and Salesforce, using LMS tools like Highspot or LearnUpon, and handling tools such as Zoom Webinars, Slack, SharePoint, Canva, Drupal, Jira, and Monday.com. Experience creating digital learning content, including video production and editing, is also valued.

Additional Requirements

  • Interest in mission-driven work that expands educational and career opportunities.
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies and willingness to learn and apply AI-driven tools independently.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication.
  • Commitment to learning, feedback, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, empathetically, and across differences.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Process Information

Application review begins right away and continues until the role is filled. The position is expected to remain open for at least 5 business days. The selection process may include resume screening, a recruiter phone or video conversation, a hiring manager interview, a work exercise, a panel interview, a discussion with leadership, and reference checks.

Compensation

The hiring range for this role is $56,000 to $95,000 per year. Final pay depends on location, experience, and how a candidate’s background compares with others in similar positions at College Board. The organization adjusts compensation by location to support fairness.
