Associate Frontend Engineer

Overview

This opportunity is with a technology-led company working with a highly experienced team to improve financing efficiency and strengthen return performance. The role is for an Associate Frontend Engineer who is eager to take ownership, contribute to product delivery, and grow with guidance from senior engineers.

What you will be doing

• Develop user-facing features for a web application using the team’s main frontend stack, centered on Vue and Tailwind.
• Produce reliable, well-tested code that is suitable for production use.
• Support infrastructure delivery through AWS and Terraform.
• Work side by side with engineers, designers, and product managers to ship improvements.
• Build practical knowledge of modern engineering workflows while learning more about the finance domain.

What the team is looking for

• A candidate who is ready to take real responsibility, with no specific years of experience required.
• Strong comfort with JavaScript and an interest in working with TypeScript.
• A self-starting attitude and a willingness to collaborate across technical and non-technical functions.
• Any exposure to Vue, Tailwind, AWS, or Terraform will be considered an advantage.
• Senior team members will provide support and upskilling where needed.

Hiring process

• Introductory phone discussion with the CTO lasting 20 minutes.
• An online coding assessment lasting 1 hour to review your technical approach.
• A 1-hour coding session with developers to see how you solve problems collaboratively.
• An in-person team interview of 1.5 hours to meet the wider team and explore the role in more depth.
• A final 30-minute conversation with the COO to discuss the company direction and mutual fit.
