Role overview
This position is responsible for steering the end-to-end preparation of bids, quotations, and tender responses for EOIs, PQQs, ITTs, and RFPs. The role works closely with sales, pre-sales, technical teams, support functions, and partner organizations to shape persuasive proposals that meet customer needs and improve the chance of winning business.
What you will do
- Take ownership of bid submissions and the formal handover process while coordinating with pre-sales, technical, support, and sales colleagues.
- Build and manage a practical bid plan that follows company standards and aligns with customer expectations.
- Study tender documentation thoroughly to understand the full scope and requirements.
- Work with the sales and pre-sales manager to secure the right technical, pre-sales, and support resources for each bid.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to gather documents and inputs that must be included in the proposal.
- Rewrite, tailor, and author sections of RFP, RFI, proposal, and related bid content where needed.
- Shape the structure, presentation, and overall look and feel of bid documents and proposals.
- Carry out editorial checks to improve clarity, quality, and consistency.
- Set up bid review meetings and distribute notes, actions, and follow-ups.
- Scrutinize inputs from a customer-focused perspective and challenge content where necessary.
- Support the development of pricing, deal strategy, and overall bid approach.
- Conduct internal and external research to strengthen proposal quality and relevance.
- Review, validate, and optimize project costing with the required approvals from key stakeholders.
- Ensure the customer’s questions are answered fully and accurately to maximize the chance of success.
- Approve proposal content before submission and handle additional tasks assigned by management.
- Deliver submissions on schedule and within the approved budget.
- Apply lessons learned to continuously improve bid processes in line with company objectives.
- Manage the full Etimad tender lifecycle, including opportunity tracking, tender download, submission, clarification handling, contract award, and post-award coordination.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer & Communication Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, is required.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a comparable role within a leading IT or system integration company.
- Background in coordination work in an office-based environment.
- Proven experience in reviewing, writing, editing, and producing large technical and commercial documents.
- Experience creating sales and marketing materials is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of platform and application solutions.
- Working knowledge of proposal writing.
- Familiarity with project costing methods.
